Go Cards!

Today, on what I believe is the hottest day of the year so far, I took the kids to a Cardinals game. We had awesome seats, 4 rows up in right field. Unfortunately it was so hot, the kids couldn't sit down. Even with piles of napkins on their seats they were still too hot. Luckily, they are short enough that standing, they didn't get in the way of the people behind us.

Natalie didn't want her picture taken.

I have a friend who does the sound for the games, so he invited us up to the Scroreboard Room to see the behind the scenes action of the sound and video they show at the games. It was also an air conditioned room, so that was nice.

Our pathetic attempt at a group photo

John was super excited to ride the "train" to the game.

We made it to the 6th inning before deciding it was time to get out of the heat and beat the crowds home. We were winning 4-2 when we left, and that was the final score, so luckily we didn't miss much. I was pretty nervous about taking all 3 kids to the game by myself, but they loved it and were super well behaved. We will definitely do it again next summer, but not a 1:00 game in July. I learned my lesson.

  1. I like how your kids are braver than me when it comes to the Metro Link :)
