Ponds & Playgrounds

Tonight the kids and I met up with Maw Maw to have dinner at a friend's restaurant on, unfortunately, their last day of business. After a yummy dinner we went out to take a walk and explore the area. We watched a sand volleyball game while having some ice cream, fed fish with french fries we saved from dinner, and hit a playground. It was a HOT St Louis evening and the kiddos were all definitely worn out by the time we left. I was too.

John and Natalie chose strawberry ice cream, while Rebecca picked Cookie Monster.

After running out of french fries, John and Rebecca stuck their fingers in the water so the fish would nibble them. Natalie wasn't quite as adventurous.

When I Grow Up

We're back to blogging. I figured facebook was keeping people updated on the family, but the blog format seems to force me to take more pictures, which I haven't been doing. So here I am again.

I had a conversation with the kids the other day about what they wanted to be when they grow up. Here's what we have so far.

Natalie - wants to have a farmer's market and wear sparkly rainbow dresses and have me curl her hair before she goes to work. She also wants to live in a sparkly house.

Rebecca - undecided. She either wants to be a teacher and have a cat, or a doctor and have a cat and a dog. When she grows up she wants to buy gum and get a soda from the gas station like Mommy

John - wants to be a money man. I asked what that was and he said he is just going to find money. Interesting. I see him wandering the beach with a metal detector in hand one day.

So, as I said, I need to take more pictures...no new photos to post. I'm going to try to remember to get the camera out tomorrow.
